Moody/Interesting Los Angeles Filming Locations?

Industry friends…I’m looking for an interesting location to potentially shoot a super moody and dark music video for a metalcore band. Something that’s visually interesting without having to do a lot of art dept. work to it and ideally with enough options to shoot an entire narrative around.

I always seem to end up at the same 4 or 5 locations every time I shoot and would love to shoot somewhere new.

(And yes, I know about Linda Vista and have shot there many wonderful times.)

Suggestions?

Check out the newly released short, starring UFC Fighters Cung Le and Scott Sheeley along with Bruce Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee and James Adam Lim.

Yeah I’m a sucker for c-class trailers but hell this is actually better then that Tekken movie that was released a few years ago. If you dig this I really highly suggest you check out Gene Generation, a full length feature film by Pearry Teo.

Seven Saturdays released their self-titled album today, featuring the amazing song, “One in 3”.

I had the privilege of hearing this album while I was prepping the “One in 3” video and it’s a beautiful thing. You definitely should have this in your collection.

From what started on a Christmas tree farm in Salem, Oregon in October 2010, I feel thrilled and at peace to have made it to May 28, 2013.

Today, the new record is out. Officially. Worldwide.

When I started making this record, I never would have imagined it would be as beautifully rewarding a process as it was.

Musically, I became intimately closer with the most wonderful people I’ve ever met, and feel blessed to have been able to work with the musicians that are featured throughout this recording.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it.

My most grand wish is that this brief recording in time finds a home somewhere buried in your record collection.

I will have then, done my job.

Casting for Music Video

In the very early stages of pre-production on a dark-themed country music video for a song that was recently featured on a major television show. Video shoots at end of June.

Starting the initial casting process in which I’m looking for the following:

1. a pair of junkie lovers

2. Single mom with a baby or young child

3. 1-2 homeless people

4. Several female and trans prostitutes

5. Priest in robe/cassock

6. 2 nurses

Ideal candidates should own their own wardrobe. Send headshot, reel (if applicable) and experience to chadmichaelward@gmail.com
